Cakes and Treats That Taste Just as Amazing as They Look

Every couple wants a wedding cake that makes people stop and say, "Wow."

But what if that same cake also becomes one of the most talked-about desserts your guests have ever tasted?

That's exactly what Chaos Cakes & Treats is passionate about.

Owned by Rachel Herrin, Chaos Cakes & Treats creates custom wedding cakes and desserts for couples throughout Northeast Indiana.

From elegant wedding cakes and dessert tables to cupcakes, cookies, cake pops, mini pies, and other sweet treats, every order is thoughtfully designed to reflect each couple's unique vision.

More Than Just a Pretty Cake

A beautiful wedding cake is important, but Rachel believes it should taste just as incredible as it looks.

Instead of relying on heavy fondant designs that can sometimes prioritize appearance over flavor, Chaos Cakes & Treats focuses on creating desserts that are both visually stunning and absolutely delicious.

Whether you're dreaming of a timeless, elegant cake, a modern statement piece, or something completely one-of-a-kind, Rachel works closely with every couple to bring that vision to life.

A Business Built on Bringing Joy

Chaos Cakes & Treats was founded in 2020 during one of the most challenging times many of us have ever experienced.

In the middle of uncertainty, Rachel wanted to create something that brought people joy, comfort, and a reason to celebrate.

What started as a way to brighten difficult days quickly grew into a business centered around helping families and couples celebrate life's biggest milestones.

Today, that same mission continues with every wedding she serves.

A Personalized Experience from Start to Finish

Planning your wedding desserts shouldn't feel overwhelming.

Rachel guides couples through the entire process-from the initial consultation to delivery and setup on the wedding day.

During your consultation, you'll discuss everything from your wedding style and design preferences to flavors, serving sizes, dessert options, and delivery details.

Every quote is customized specifically for your celebration, ensuring your desserts are as unique as your wedding day.

Rachel's Advice for Engaged Couples

When asked what advice she would give engaged couples, Rachel shared something every bride and groom should hear:

"Don't get so caught up in creating the 'perfect' wedding that you forget to enjoy the journey and the day itself. The details matter, but what your guests will remember most is the love, joy, and celebration you share together."

She also encourages couples to choose vendors they trust, stay true to their own vision, and focus their budget on the parts of the wedding that matter most to them and not simply what's trending.

When Should You Book?

Rachel recommends booking your wedding cake and desserts 6–12 months in advance, especially if you're planning a spring or fall wedding, as those dates tend to fill quickly.

When reaching out, it's helpful to include:

  • Your wedding date

  • Wedding venue

  • Estimated guest count

  • Inspiration photos (if you have them)

From there, you'll schedule a consultation to discuss your vision, flavors, design preferences, serving needs, and delivery details.

Once everything is finalized, Rachel will provide a custom quote, and your date can be secured with a signed agreement and retainer.
